Trust Wallet Hack: CZ Confirms $7M Loss but Says User Funds Are SAFU

Trust Wallet has disclosed a security incident affecting only its browser extension version 2.68, after attackers pushed a malicious update that allowed them to drain more than 6–7 million dollars in user funds across multiple chains. In response, CZ said roughly 7 million dollars has been affected so far and confirmed that Trust Wallet will reimburse all victims, stressing that mobile‑only users and other extension versions remain unaffected. The team is still investigating how the rogue build was approved and is urging anyone who ever imported a seed phrase into extension 2.68 to disable it immediately and reinstall version 2.69 from the official Chrome Web Store link.
